TRIX MAGOSARA Ceramic Designer - Maker

Trixia Magosara was born and raised in the Philippines. She came to the UK in 2015, to live with her mother after 17 years of living apart. At the time, she had no idea that she would encounter and fall in love with clay, which changed her life and set her on this journey.

At the core of her practice is the importance of accepting different beliefs, cultures, and lifestyles. Her work celebrates uniqueness and difference in a society which sometimes, makes us feel conscious of where we are from, our abilities and our attributes. She wants to bring positivity and acceptance into the home through each mug in her collection. Like people, no two objects are the same. Individually named, each mug in her collection is wheel-thrown and altered. She has developed a range of extraordinary glazes, embracing the handmade process at every step.  

She is also now sharing her knowledge and skills through teaching ceramics in her studio.
